Who am I?

What is a personal blog?

According to the Holy Grail that is Wikipedia… The personal blog, an ongoing diary or commentary by an individual, is the traditional, most common blog. Personal bloggers usually take pride in their blog posts, even if their blog is never read.

Well, thats me. Apart from the pride part. This blog is riddled with typos. I took to blogging in January 2010, after I saw that awesome movie Julie and Julia.

I had young kids at the time, and had started talking to myself, so I created a little space on the internet. Just for me.

So, who are you?

I am a mouthy 40-something housewife from the burbs. I write about all kinds of things, mainly what is going on in my head. I cover family, politics, food, travel, some very lame attempts at fashion, social issues, wine, cheese. And I write a lot about laundry. I am pretty much running late all the time, and will more often or not turn up somewhere with food spilt down my top.

Tell me about your family?

Please note that I am asking these questions about myself. I am married to Mr Woog, I have two gorgeous yet lively sons Horatio and Jack. And we have a black cat called Chuy, who I am not convinced is not a total asshole.

What do you love?

I love my family and my friends. I love the summer. I love it when fresh sheet day coincides with shaved leg day. And I really, really like dumplings.

So what do you hate?

Both Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain.

What is the go with that strange name?

Woog is a real name. It rhymes with booge, not woug. It is Hungarian.

So come on in and join the conversation. We are a friendly bunch although, you will be sent to Spankytown, if you choose to behave like an asshole.
