When Jenga and Uno had a baby, and other frustrations.

Why do we all wait for holidays to pull out a 300 piece puzzle?

I will tell you why. It is because they are an exercise in frustration and you would not want to add to your daily life frustration by attempting them.

My gorgeous friend Ms. Muir (the artist formally known as Mrs Finlayson) arrived today and is all over it. She is competitive and has nerves of steel. She arrived just in time, as I was about the put a match to the pile of peices.

Other games that have been played lately includes Twister, which resulted in me realising that I cannot compete with a lithe 7 year old. After recovering on the couch, we pulled out Stack Uno.

Stack Uno is what occurs when Uno and Jenga have a baby.

It is easily my least favourite  game to play, after Twister and 300 Piece Puzzle of Swamp Animals. It is very, very nerve-wracking, as you have to remove certain planks to continue the UNO pattern. Only saddistic bastards would get any pleasure out of playing this game.

We also found, in the cupboard, an unopened 500 piece Craig Lowndes Puzzle which has a snowballs chance in hell of being opened.

This is the only puzzle that my brain can currently manage.

Do you have a favourite family game?

Oh, and can you PLEASE tell this cold weather to bugger off, and send back the sun?
