I’ve lost my Libido + Giveaway.

God that is a strange looking title for a blog post, isnt it? It kind of reads like I am giving away my libido.

Any takers?

But on a serious note, I have lost my libido. My cooking Libido. It seems that I am on a constant cycle of the same old dinners. Spag Bol, Steak and Salad, Chicken skewers, boring as fuck steamed veggies. It is making dinner time an absolute nightmare, and I needed to break out of my rut.

These two dishes were particularly woeful.

This is a thai green curry, that tasted like puke. I don’t know what I did to it, but it was not nice, and the punters voted with their feet and gave it a wide berth. It was the sort of dish that you would expect to be served on a dodgy asian airline. (just before you crash into a mountain)

Oh God and then there was this. I attempted some sort of OLE! Spanish dish and got the steps mixed up. It was HIDEOUS and didn’t get past this stage, before it was disposed of.

It was actually FROTHY! Paprika overdose vomit stew.

Can you see what I mean about losing my libido? Normally I can cook ok, hey I have even shared some of my triumphs with you – click here.

Anyway, the kind people at Hachette sent me Julie Goodwin’s latest cook book and it is a game changer people!

I first met Julie and a mutual friends birthday party. You know what it is like when you see a celebrity in the flesh! I loved watching her win Masterchef, and I knew that I would kick myself if I didn’t go up and fangirl her. She was completely delightful and funny as fuck, so we have had a lovely friendship ever since.
