A bit of a shit of a week. But it’s over now.

This week has been a bit of a shit, if I can be honest. A whole heap of things came to a head and I spent two of those days lying on the couch, crippled with anxiety.

For those who don’t understand anxiety, it is hard to sympathise I am sure. And for those who do, you will know exactly what I am talking about. Mrs. Goodman singlehandedly pulled me out of my funk with a brisk walk and a good talking to. I think it is safe to say that my beast has almost left the building. Almost. Maybe has one foot left in, but I am choosing to ignore it.

Anxiety for me, is brought on by stress. It has physically manifested itself as a large sebaceous cyst on my face. GROSS. Much like when I had my thing taken off my nose, I feel the need to point it out to people.

“Sorry, but please excuse the large, red lump on my face. It is a sebaceous cyst.” I pointed it out to the gorgeous Shelly Craft at a work event. She said that she hadn’t noticed it. Can you see it? It is all that I can see. (Sorry Mum. Forgot the lippy!)

In other news, I finally got around to replacing the mouse on my Mac. I now have a MAGIC MOUSE. It almost was the final undoing of me when I disconnected the old mouse before connecting the new mouse. This simple act rendered my whole computer useless. I spent some time on the phone to an Apple Genius who was based in Tasmania, for about an hour and a half. He refused to give up and together we troubleshot the fuck out of the situation until we came to a solution.

What I took away from the exchange was never, ever give up. There is always a solution to a problem, even if it takes two days of moping about the place.

How has your week been?
