National Home Doctor Service

Sponsored by the National Home Doctor Service

Sometimes a client comes along and wants to work with me and it is so uncanny and ironic that it’s the universe directing us to collaborate. National Home Doctor Service is such a client. SYNERGIES PEOPLE!

Backstory? Sure.

Back in mid-January Horatio started complaining about a sore ear. So I gave him a paracetamol and told him to take it easy. It was a Sunday I recall, and as the day progressed, his complaining started to get worse. Now I, having spent years tending to Jack’s many ear infections, realised that this was probably what we were dealing with. And from my experience with Jack, I knew that these things just do not sort themselves out. We needed to see a doctor, and get started on a course of antibiotics ASAP.

I called the few medical centres that are near us. A few had already closed and the last one I phoned told me the wait time, which was substantial. I started googling “Home doctor” as I was happy to pay for someone to come and diagnose him properly and I knew there was a chemist nearby that was open late that night, so if indeed he needed a script, I could go and fetch it.

I clicked on the first link http://www.homedoctor.com.au

ABOUT NATIONAL HOME DOCTOR SERVICE
We’re Australia’s largest provider of after hours, doctor home visits covering Sydney, NSW Central Coast, Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Adelaide, Canberra Launceston, Hobart and Perth.

We bulk bill all patients with a Medicare or Gold DVA card. . We do not charge you a fee for a doctor home visit.

What in the what now? You are going to send a doctor to my house FOR FREE!? Now I am a big believer that if it seems too good to be true, then often it is, but I was proven wrong.

An hour later we had a doctor in the living room who gave Horatio a thorough assessment before declaring that indeed he did have a middle ear infection before, get this, PULLING THE ANTIBIOTICS OUT OF HIS BAG!

The doctor asked for our regular GP’s details, as he wanted to send her a report of Horatio’s diagnosis and treatment plan.

Now, National Home Doctor Service wants me to tell you about them! And they want you to call them if you need a doctor after hours (weeknights after 6pm, weekends (after 12 noon Saturday) and all day public holidays). If you or your kids need to see a doctor and your GP is closed, (but you don’t need to go to the emergency room at your local hospital), then call them on 13SICK (13 7425). Presenting at the ER with non-life threatening conditions is costing the system millions of dollars each year, so having National Home Doctor make a house call makes a lot of sense.

To make it even easier for you, (and let’s face it, looking after crook kids is stressful enough), they have developed an App.

Search “National Home Doctor’ in the App Store or on Google Play, or click on one of the links below. It takes just a few minutes to register your details. Then, you can request a bulk billed, after hours doctor home visit with just ‘one tap on the App!’

So next time you or your lot are struck down with middle ear issues, UTI’s, upper respiratory infections, migraine, vomiting, gastro or any of the other common illnesses that might see you heading out into the night in search of an open Medical Centre, call 13SICK (that’s 13 7425) or even better, download the APP to request a bulk billed, doctor home visit.
