Agent “How do you feel about doing a job where you get to watch TV?”

Mrs. Woog *Jumps into bed with her iPad*

I am a late adopter when it comes to binge watching television series, but although I might be late to the party, I am nothing if not committed to the practice now. What a way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, once you have pesky Saturday out of the way, what with the sports runs and stupid errands ticked off.

But what exactly IS binge watching? According to Wikipedia, it is as follows.

Binge watching, also called binge viewing or marathon viewing, is the practice of watching television for a long time span, usually of a single television show.

As described, my ideal binge watching session occurs on a Sunday afternoon, in my bed with the door closed, having given everyone fair warning not to enter unless someone is bleeding. And even then, they had better be bleeding quite badly. Depending on the time of afternoon, you might be nursing a nice hot cup of tea, or perhaps a wine. But that is entirely up to you and who am I to judge! Snacks are always mandatory. I used to get through a box of BBQ Shapes, until they messed with the recipe and made them taste gross.

Binge watching popular series makes you a more attractive conversationalist at social events. You instantly have a connection with a stranger when you can bond over the genius that is Inside Amy Schumer. If you are not involved in binge-watching series, you could experience FOMO, and it is just not necessary.

I can hear some naysayers cry…”Mrs. Woog! Shouldn’t you be outside in the sunshine kicking the ball around with your sons? Don’t you know that this is a slippery slope into a sedentary lifestyle?” of which I am happy to answer with a series of grunts.

My platform of choice is Presto. Because out of all of the services, they have all of my favourite binge-worthy shows. Check out these old favourites of mine, all perfect for a binge. And yes, I do have a thing for comedy. (Please click the photos for more information on some of my favourite shows.)

I love 30 Rock as it appeals to my odd sense of humor and Rural Juror is my life’s anthem. Lemon OUT.

Absolutely Fabulous, Series 5 CONTINUING SERIES Network Premiere Ð 8 * 30 min Fall 2008 This fall, the classic comedy returns to BBC Kids for its fifth series. Edina runs a fashion agency, wears designer clothes and lives the life of a jet-setter. Her friend Patsy smokes like a chimney, drinks like a fish and dresses like a dream. Life would be one long party, if only EdinaÕs snotty daughter would stop complaining and start joining in like a normal teenager. I would suggest revisiting this nugget of hilariousness as THERE IS A MOVIE Coming SOON! Before that comes out, lets take us back to the beginning. Remember when Edina suggested a stupidity tax? It never gets old…

Simply because Lena Dunham is a complete genius.

David Williams and Matt Lucas LITTLE BRITAIN

Sketch comedy is a favorite of mine and David Walliams and Matt Lucas are the best in the business. Computer says YES!

Shot in documentary style, it goes to show that anything can be made interesting and funny, if you just whack Amy Poehler in it.
