Ok so the farm is inside your head and at this point of the year THE FARM GETS VERY, VERY LOUD AND BUSY! All the animals are screaming out for something or another thing. Everyone is trying to pull you in one direction or another and it is very easy to get overwhelmed by even the simplest of tasks.

And this is not just me. A quick survey of the Huffy Puffy gals this morning revealed that there is some bad fucking juju woo-woo shit in the air. Something to do with the moon, or Trump. A perfect storm of shitty conditions that can make you feel all over the shop.

Am I right? AM I RIGHT? Answer me Goddamn it!

So I thought it might be helpful to share a few apps that I use to calm the farm. They have all come from recommendations from my talking doctor, the Huffy Puffy Trainer to the mildly disinterested, and mates.

This is a great one to do anywhere. Pop on your headphones and work through different programs, like 7 Days of Managing Stress or 21 Days of Calm.

Good for both adults and kids, Smiling Mind is a web based program developed by experts to help you get a little balance in your life. (And I think the man’s voice is quite sexy just saying)

A really handy little tool to have on your phone if you get those nasty ass panic attacks out of the blue. Really simple and effective.

Numero Uno Talking Doctor got me onto this and it is fantastic for meditation and “Checking in with yourself”. Also you can record your thoughts and shit in the diaries.

The latest tool in my toolbox, this is very clever. You lay down and place your phone on your guts and it plays wave noises. You have to really focus on your deep breathing and once you reach the desired state, it plays really lovely music. Instantly, you are so much more relaxed. Ten out of ten.

So, my internet friends whose brains work overtime, I hope you try at least one (or all of these) and I hope that they help you as much as they have helped me. And of course, if you think you know someone who might benefit from these, please share!
