It’s still good….

I am not sure whether you ever was a fan of The Simpsons, but when it launched in 1989, I was dumbfounded and gobsmacked at how freaking hilarious it was. It appealed to my then juvenile sense of humour and to this day, remains some of the best television in history.

In particular, one episode has been playing over in my head, as parallel events have occurred with me recently. It is the episode where Homer BBQ’s a whole piggy and Lisa gets the shits and after numerous, humerous adventures, the pig gets shot out of a dyke in the dam and Homer must admit that it is not “still good.”

If you have been reading my blog for more than two weeks, you will know that I am on a quest to pay my dentist and endodontist mortgages off.

It started out with a cavity.

It’s just a little dirty. It’s still good, it’s still good!

The cavity made a crack and a bit of tooth fell out.

It’s just a little slimy. It’s still good, it’s still good!

The crack then turned into a gargantuan pain in my jaw which I ignored to the best of my ability…

It’s just a little airborne. It’s still good, it’s still good!

I COULD BARELY FUNTION

It’s gone.

Last Friday I went off on a ninety minutes snooze in the dentists chair while the specialist went to town, and I don’t mean Dubbo, I am talking New York CITY LIMITS town. I woke up like I had been bitched slapped by someone who really didn’t like me much (side eye Peter the Fattist), and have had my wobbly boots on all weekend.

While I waited for Mr. Woog to finalise the bill, I felt very woozy. Once Mr. Woog himself was resuscitated, we travelled home in silence.

I suppose what I want to say to you today is DO NOT PUT OFF GOING TO THE DENTIST AS IT IS NOT MAGICALLY GOING TO FIX ITSELF.

Mr Woog keeps asking “So that’s it then? All done at the dentist?” and I agree with him becasue I love him and I dont want him to worry.

Little does he know what my other favourite show is, and one that is coming in March.

Who else has taken a ride on the Root Canal Route?
